In just over half a year, we have already published 100 articles here at Sonic Source, and have garnered tens of thousands of views thanks to fans like yourself! When I first had the idea to start this blog at the beginning of the year, I never thought I would get this much interest! I figured I would get a few passing visitors here and there, but many of you have become regulars and I greatly appreciate that!

On a personal level, this project was born out of my love of Sonic and a desire to use my writing skills out of sheer boredom! Having read Sonic comics since I was young and being devastated by the Archie series’ cancellation, I wanted to get in on the ground floor and really contribute to the fandom with the new IDW series. It took me a while to get my bearings, but it has been a blast learning the beat of the industry, honing my writing and editorial skills, and learning when and where to look for new info!

I have many of you to thank for this growth and success by tipping me off to new sources I was not aware of and pointing out mistakes that I have made. I am here to serve the community, and as such, I am greatly humbled by the involvement you, my fellow fans, have shown for this new comic and my blog! Ultimately, my goal is to continue to inform the fandom with the latest information with which to enjoy Sonic even more!

So before I ramble on too much, I want to make a couple of announcements. First, since the site has been more successful than I ever imagined, I am in the beginning stages of upgrading the Sonic Source website from that of a free hobbyist blog to something a bit more professional, utilitarian, and most importantly customizable! I hope this will make the experience much more pleasant for many as I know that currently, the blog is not the most aesthetically pleasing or best formatted, as well as expand what the site has to offer as a whole.

More excitingly, I am doing a giveaway! As a way of saying thank you to all of you who have contributed to this blog’s success and encouraged me to continue on with it, I am going to be giving away two copies of the very hard to find Spencer’s #1 Variant by Jonathan Gray!
